Zucchini Pizza.

Zucchini Pizza. I have seen this on Pinterest and decided to try it. I have an abundance of zucchini. It's nice to try something new with it.

Vegetables from my garden.
Biggest Zucchini, sliced (all with the same thickness, about 1/2 inch)

Add your favorite red sauce.
Add your favorite toppings
Add cheese. Next time I'll used crumbed goat cheese and some other goodies on top.
I'll make these again :)

French Macarons From Payard; Cesar's Palace.

I had to swing by Payards while in Vegas to get some French Macarons. I loved them before the craze started, but I can understand why they are all the rage.

Lucie wanted the yellow one and Lucas picked purple. They were $10 for 6 little cookies. Worth every cent. The yellow macaron was lemon with chocolate filling. You tell it was fresh lemon. They flavor was intense and unbelievable.

The Red Rock Casino Bakery, las Vegas.

When we stay at the Red Rock, we always get danishes at the cafe bakery. They always have cute cakes, etc.

Best Sandwich in America

We're staying in Las Vegas. We grabbed some sandwiches at Capriotti's at The Red Rock. When I picked up the order the man said, "Oh, you got the Bobbie. That was voted best sandwich in America". So, let's see.


Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry. Yum.

Was it good? Yes, it tasted just like the day after Thanksgiving!

Easy Meatball Trick........

Meatballs....ugh, time consuming. Nope! Here is a fast, easy and kid friendly way to make them.

Just take it out of the package. This one is a perfect square but, it doesn't matter if it's not. Use turkey, ground beef, sausage...what ever tickles your fancy.

Simply cut an even grid and sprinkle with your favorite seasonings. I used oregano, garlic salt, Basil, and pepper. That's how my kids like them.

Works like a charm. All the same size. Pour on your favorite sauce and bake. My kids love them.

Mini Paris Bell Jar

Today I am sharing one of my first posts from over a year ago. I don't think I even had a follower than. I am excited to be joining Marty's Cloche Party! I used my vintage Straffordshire Dishes from the 1930s. A little hand-me-down from my mother. If, you saw my recent post about my plate addition...I didn't even include these. I am sad to say, they are stashed in the garage. If I had a hutch they would be the set I'd display.  I remember my mom using these at all her dinner parties. If, you aren't already following Mary's "A Stroll Thur Life," you are missing out! She's got a fantastic blog!

How to cook Lobster Tails

My husband picked up two lobster tails at Costco and said, "How about these?" I said, "Yes, please!" I really didn't care that I had never made it before. I'd figure it out.

So, I watched two videos and used information from both. Basically I needed, Parsley, lemon, butter, bread crumbs and garlic.

Start with a glass of wine. Just drink and enjoy.

So easy.....scissors straight down the top of the tail. Then open shell gently and slowly remove the meat from the shell by sliding your finger inside against the shell and flesh.

The lobster meat goes on top of the shell. Of course. Now we are really just going to broil what is like a simple fillet. Here is what we need:

Melt butter with minced garlic. You'll baste the lobster with the melted butter and broil at 525 for five minutes.

Back in for 4 minutes after basting....then baste again and sprinkle with bread crumbs and parsley.......back in for one minute! That's it!!!!

Very pleased with how well they came out on my first try. It was as good as any lobster I've had out in a restaurant. Delicious! So easy. Don't be afraid to try it!

Vintage Staffordshire Dishes.

I bought this cute shabby Pie holder for $4 recently at a garage sale. It's been taking up space on my counter. A few weeks ago I even bought three new plates for it, at World Market. They were too big for it and I had to return them. I had the idea of using it strictly for goodies at a party.

Then, while wandering around in an antique shop today, it hit old vintage Staffordshire china! I am embarrassed to admit that they were just in a box on a shelf in the garage.

I always loved the square plates. I have never found the name for this Staffordshire design. I have fond memories of these growing up. My mom used them all the time when we had company.

I thrilled with how it turned out. I am so happy I remembered these dishes and can have them on display now.
