Isn't It Romantic?

Isn't it romantic???

Cool enough for romantic walks, warm enough for a few roses that refuse to lie dormant. I am definitely in a red and white romantic mood.

Thinking of February to come and Valentine's Day....
Yesterday I found the cutest heart shaped jelly beans.....can't wait to open those. You wouldn't believe how pretty they are...
                                   My Pretty Crown Ducal teacups....

I am enjoying my reds and Whites....

Mixing in my Churchill Antique Rose with my modern Eva Zeisel

You all told me I would have fun with my Hutch...how did I go so long without one?
                                         Isn't it romantic???

Leaving the roses behind and heading for the snow. Hard to believe we are only an hour and half away. So many different climates here. Just an hour in the other direction and we are at the beach!
Bisous,
Karen

  2. Karen,
You know I am lovin' this post with the red roses and the hearts, oh my! The red shows up so nicely against your white hutch. Where did you ever find heart shaped jelly beans? Isn't California the best with all the climates? My husband and son just went to the ocean in So Cal. Now, I'm ready for a trip. The snow sounds delightful to me right now. Have a fun weekend.

    1. Thank you! The white "modern" dishes are by Eva Zeisel. She was a Hungarian artist that did a collection for Hall Craft in 1952. I was lucky to find all of it at a garage sale for 75 cents each!!! I almost hesitated on the pieces because I have so much stuff. After reading about her history, etc. I am so glad I bought it all :)

    1. Thanks, Clara! If the sun peeks out soon and I have time, I am going to get some pictures of the jelly beans. :) I have to admit, I love Valentine's Day. 8 years of living in France too...they don't celebrate like we do. No one talks about Valentine's Day and children certainly don't exchange cards, etc. so I kind of go overboard now that I am home.
