Then, I remembered this little tea set I found just yesterday. It's very similar to the teacups and saucer Topper (our Christmas elf ) brought this year. I think this is a perfect little tea set for Lucie.
I added my little chalkboard frame; Lucie's Tea Salon.
I think the girls will be excited and of course I can already see Lucas roll his eyes.
Not your typical tea-time goodies, but I used what I had as this was a last minute idea...and frankly, I think two 9 year old girls will be delighted with cotton candy, jelly beans and simple cookies.
Of course, some chocolate "pastels" from France. You can get a little sneak peek of my first Cricut project in the back ground. Almost finished with my banner.
Heart shaped sugar for two sweet little girls....

Oh how SWEET!!
ReplyDeleteYOu know you are helping keep up the tradition, and bring good and good memories to two sweet little girls. 9 and 10- my favorite ages when my daughters were young......before the hormone bomb strikes, haha.
Lovely post.
Awwww! No hormone bombs in this house!! I can hardly wait!! Not.

This is so sweet! I have a 10 year old daughter AND a 17 year old daughter. They both would love this tea party idea with friends! Thanks for commenting over at the Inspiration Cafe - I love thrifting and pinning too. So happy to find you! I'm your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteYay! Welcome Sherry. Lucie thought everything was great! They have been having fun. I am exhausted but of course when you hear those uncontrollable giggles down the hall it makes it all worth it!

My girls loved having tea parties more than anything - we were known as the tea party house, because I loved them too :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! I was going to put the tea set in my Etsy Shop. I think I'll keep it around!! (because I need more stuff too). Maybe I'll have a little tea party with Lucie, just the two of us!!

I have a nine year old granddaughter. She would love a tea party. Can't wait to see the pictures of the party.
ReplyDeleteLucie and her friend had a nice tea party. I snapped one picture. So dumb. I should have had them get all dressed up, etc. It was just one of those spur of the moment things. Maybe I can set up at garden tea this spring and get pictures of Lucie dressed up!!!

What a lovely tea service...my poor daughter had to go to her grandma's for a tea party, I don't drink tea of any kind...give me a good cup of coffee and I am very happy.
ReplyDeleteAwww! No what little girl doesn't need pink cotton candy at her tea party!! It all looks perfect to me and I bet they had a great time! How did you color your little sugar hearts? Those are adorable!

So pretty! I just love a tea set. I was obsessed with the miniature versions as a kid. I had a tiny set that looked a lot like this one!
