You need:
Two crescent roll tubes (the kind that pop!)
1 Lb. ground beef
A packet of taco seasoning
1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese or Pepper Jack
And:
All the fresh goodies you like to have with tacos!!!!
Sour cream (optional)
Guacamole (optional)
Black olives (optional)
Tomatoes (optional)
Lettuce (optional)
Onions (optional)
You can also add green chilies to the meat....delicious!
I really just threw this together. It doesn't have to be perfect. I've made some now that are gorgeous and some that are a bit messy....guess what? Everyone loves them either way! Lay out the two tubes of crescent pastry, thick sides in. Use some of the left over crescent rolls to to make the center a bit thicker.
Seasoned ground beef on the crescent rolls |
add desired cheddar cheese on top. Try pepper-jack for a twist! |
Fold over the ends. Nothing to it. Bake at 375 until golden brown. Remember the ground is cooked through so it doesn't take long!

Enjoy!
What temperature do you set the oven and how long?? Great ideas;)
ReplyDeleteOh, great question! 375 for about 18 minutes. This really is delicious and everyone loved it. Very easy to make!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a family favorite of ours for years!! Yummy! So good.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Susie
Isn't it the best? So much better than I thought it'd be. Love it! I also love that everyone eats it!
DeleteI make this alot also but I add refried beans to the meat and it's quite delish :)
ReplyDeleteSonia, that sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing that idea. I Will definitively do it that way next time!
DeleteHow do you make the middle part?
DeleteThe middle is just shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, black olives if you'd like....Every thing you'd like on your taco! You can just have bowls with garnish and spoons too. It looks great without a salad inside too.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, can you tell me how much Ground beef you used? I want to try it this weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou can vary the recipe easily. You can't get it wrong, but I used 1 lb. and it worked well. Play around with the dough as well. pull it, place bits of an extra one (you have extras, because you need two cans.) in the center to fill in gaps, etc. I hope you enjoy it! I think it's yummy!
ReplyDeleteWhat all do you have in the middle of the ring?
ReplyDeleteIf u read the other comments it tells u what it is !
ReplyDeleteDid you make it on a greased cookie sheet?
ReplyDeleteYes, lightly greased. :)
DeleteOMG this is the best ..........Even made brownie points with the hubby ... Thank you for sharing ..yummy .........
Deletei have tried this same reciepe only called it a meatball ring, using meatballs instead of ground lose meat
ReplyDeleteI am sorry seeming your husband doesn't want this picture shared on other peoples post without giving you credit ... don't you think you should be giving Pampered Chef credit seeming this was there's first!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy! Not sure what you mean about my husband and sharing the photos on other PEOPLE'S posts. I am really easy going about my photos and pinning, etc. I first saw this on Pinterest, via the link I give in my post. I had no idea it was a Pampered Chef original. I certainly would give them credit. I have no problem with that. I didn't know it was THEIR recipe.
ReplyDeleteKaren
Really? I dont remember her saying she "took credit" for this...she was just sharing. WOW lol
DeleteI've made this many times and in fact it's whats for dinner tonite! I stuff the center with lettuce, tomatoes, black olives and chopped onion and put a little thousand island on it. Kinda has a feel of a taco salad in another shape.
DeleteOh good grief, who cares who gets "credit"! It's food not a million dollar invention! Thanks for passing it on Karen! :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to add some chorizo to the meat, then sauté some onions, green pepper and jalepeno for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp of cumin, 1/14 tsp of red pepper, and 5 cloves of garlic; sauté 1 minute, stirring constantly. Yes I took that part from a different recipe, but it is also mexican based and when I saw this, that was the first idea I had. Can not wait to try it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds delicious!!! I LOVE chorizo. Great idea. I might have to try it with all your added flavor. Yum. I think I have posted the recipe on my blog, but I also sprinkle cumin all over chicken then pour salsa on it, shredded Cheddar cheese and bake. I love cumin. Thanks for the ideas!! Love it.
DeleteKaren
Your welcome. The idea for the onions and jalepeno part came from my sister's own blog. The recipe is Baked black beans with chorizo. It is delicious in itself. http://networkedblogs.com/zqPqL if you are interested. Now I am off to make this ring for football today. Thank you once again.
DeleteIt is finished and I have decided I am going to just put it around my neck and eat my way out. The heck with everyone else. Thank you.
DeleteOMG! That is a HILARIOUS comment. Not what I needed at this moment as I am just a week out of an abdominal surgery and it hurts to laugh! Seriously though.... So very funny 3a5! Thanks for the laugh!
DeleteTried this today andy husband devoured it! Thanks for the idea
ReplyDeleteOh, yay!! Glad you made it and it was a hit!! Thanks for letting me know! I really appreciate that!
