Halloween Lanterns

As you know I have a problem. I like things. I like it when things are on sale. So, I guess that's how five black lanterns ended up in my bag at target when I wasn't even looking for little black lanterns. They were on sale for about $1.18. That's my excuse. I immediately thought of Halloween when I saw them. I just found them the other day and thought I'd decorate them.

Cute as is....but needs a little bling

Just a little bling. I always tend to keep things simple.

I know this is a simple little project, but doesn't it really change it up??? I love the little tinsel garland (found that in one of those big Christmas bags at Good Will. Always filled with a bunch of stuff. You never know what you'll get. Love it.) The skulls are from Michael's and sold with the stickers. They are heavy duty and more like a piece of jewelry. I hot glue gunned them on. I think I am finally getting ready for fall.

I am joining "A Potpourri of Life at 2805" for Potpourri Friday!

    1. Oh man. The Hobby Lobby we have (just got one here....tends to be more mid-west) is in an old Mervyn's store. It's gigantic. I was overwhelmed and almost in tears my first time there. My BFF and I made it a whole day. :) She even took a sick day to go check it out with me. We both waited to go together. Be careful though, they are closed on Sunday and that's easy to forget. :) Let me know what you thought!

  4. These are delightful and you were brilliant to scoop up on them and turn them from garden lanterns into Halloween lanterns. That is how creative minds work! I adore meeting creative blogging sisters and the process of sharing ideas and encouraging one another. You have so many marvelous ideas and I am totally intrigued with your creativity ability. I am your newest follower. Come on over and see what I've been doing. I love company and my welcome mat is always out. Connie :)

  7. A girl after my own heart. I love sales and things. The black lanterns turned out so cute with just the right amount of bling. Sure wish I would have been to Target and found something like that. I have a Halloween party at my house for 12 gals this year. Would have been a great take home gift.
    Hugs,
    Jann

    1. Oh, sorry Jann. There were so many too! I have the habit of walking through Target zig zagging through all the clearance aisles. It's always the same aisles in each store. You'll find something super cute for your party. I love Halloween. It's so fun! I hope we get a peek at your party!!!
