4 Th of July Banner

My easy to make, Fourth of July, banner.
I made this yesterday getting ready for the forth. I think it's sweet:

USA banner in red, white book page and blue. Hung with a dainty  red and white polka dot  ribbon.
You need six circles all the same size. Mine are about 3" in diameter. They were perfect. You start with one circle. Add a ring of glue stick around the edge. Without even cutting the streamer from the roll, place it at the edge onto the glue stick.  See image below and tutorial.  Close to the center for a smaller medallion or at the very edge for a large medallion. Folding it as far apart as you desire. I would fold every 1/2 inch for a bunched up tight look. Just work your way around the edge of glue. then cut when reached the other end. First layer done. For the second layer...a little ring of glue stick on the end of the first row of streamer. crepe paper is fragile so press carefully. Fold as you go around and it glues as you go. It's very forgiving. You don't have to be precise. That's why I like it.  Countless times, in the past,  I tried to fold the streamers and then glue. So frustrating. Fold onto the pre-glued area.
Repeat layers and top off with the remaining book page disks. Use your glue stick to adhere the letters or a glue gun. I used a glue gun to attach the ribbon.

Thought it looked cute in Lucas' room. There are so many variations you can make.  Always keep you eye out for streamers at garage sales. So many paper projects you can make.

Here's what you need....streamers, a book page, a glue stick and some die cuts...for the letters USA. I don't have a Cricut of any kind. If I did I wouldn't sleep for months...I would be crazy making everything. So I rely on store bought die cuts like these. I love K&Company. This little chipbox will keep me crafting for a long time. I tend to purchase things like these when they are running sales. I got them for 40% at Michael's. The crepe paper is something I ALWAYS find at garage sales. The blue crepe paper is Vintage and has a lovely scalloped edge. I found it with a roll of cream as well. It cost pennies.

Here is great tutorial on how to make the ruffle. Like the flower about this one is more free flowing. On my banner  wanted the outcome to be flat.
